LANGUAGE PRESERVATION
The loss of traditional languages and dialects that were previously used within communities due to colonialism and globalization. If our indigenous languages are no more, our history and culture will be easily erased.
CULTURAL PRESERVATION
Across the world, communities mark major transitions in life through celebrations and ceremonies. From birth to death, these rites of passage regulate and give expression to meaningful changes in people’s lives.
AFRICAN NURSERY RHYMES
Whether its ‘Old McDonald’ or ‘London Bridge’, we have inadvertently influenced our children to acknowledge and elevate other cultures through these carefully crafted European rhymes.
CULTURAL ATTIRE
African clothing symbolizes ones culture and history. Our attire should be a constant reminder to other Africans not to get too caught up in mainstream pop culture, which often doesn’t offer much in terms of traditional values.
IDIOMS AND PROVERBS
A proverb in African tradition is a storehouse of wisdom and philosophy. Understanding idioms will positively affect education and prepare righteous, well-educated, and wise generations.
GAMES
Africans have enjoyed playing games that fostered social cohesion from when they were young. Our channel will broadcast these games so that the current and future generations of children can enjoy playing them too.
HERBS & WILD FRUITS
Our ancestors have always used natural herbs to cure illness and dress wounds. With each passing generation, this knowledge is being lost as we rely more and more on over-the-counter pharmaceutical medicines.
HISTORY
